What's the difference?

Hypnosis--The hypnotist does all the talking and guides the client throughout the session.
Hypnotherapy--The session starts with an allotted time for therapy or discussion. The client and hypnotherapist work together to define the client's words and phrases, which are included in the hypnosis session to maximize receptiveness. The process is also more interactive--the hypnotherapist and the client generally speak to each other during the hypnosis.
Why hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is one of the most powerful tools available today to create effective, long-lasting change in a 21st century time table (fast!).  Most people have a mountain of things they want to accomplish, but no one seems to have the time or discipline required to achieve these goals.  Unfortunately it just isn't feasible to spend hours on "dream" projects when the realities of families, jobs, social events and traffic jams keep interfering. Hypnotherapy induces change gradually, often unknowingly, by setting goals deep within the subconscious.

How does it work?
Through guided relaxation, this time-tested method helps you tap into the power of the subconscious and program yourself to naturally make decisions to move toward your goals.

Once relaxed, you're in the "alpha brain wave" state, the ideal state to accept input at a very deep level.  Relaxation is critical because the conscious is like a steel gate judging everything we experience and blocking us from changing life-long belief systems (many of them we are unaware of). Nothing can get through unless the conscsious is out of the way. When you relax into alpha, the conscious is essentially "asleep," and the previously unavailable subconscious becomes more available to take in suggestions.  Research demonstrates that the subconscious comprises as much as 90-95% of our brain power, so it makes sense that getting the message through at this level offers significant power in our efforts.

Your brain is like a computer--whatever you're putting into it is going to come out. When you begin working with the subconscious, you're putting the power behind your mission. That's why it's important to decide exactly what it is you want because once you start using hypnotherapy, whether you use pdf scripts, listen to downloadable mp3's or choose counseling with a hypnotherapist, you're going to achieve your goals--it's just a matter of time.
